Anderson Capixaba tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Garca AD's zone, Dieguinho Linares stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anderson Capixaba came out of the goal and Dieguinho Linares tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Dieguinho Linares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Wiliam Borges was the one to do the kick off. Dieguinho Linares hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. When Dieguinho Linares came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the É pra acabar FC!!!!!!!! fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dieguinho Linares couldn't finish the play. Garca AD's Anderson Capixaba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dieguinho Linares in the 93rd minute of play.
