Jaceaba's defense didn't have a chance, in the 29th minute, when Guilherme Passos scored to the left of an out of position Enio Maia, making the score, 2-0. After a rather tough play, Bonsucesso FC's Ediberto Bertassi got a free kick in the 34th minute. In the 35th minute of the match Fausto Chaves shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Filipe Varela showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. With his leg Enio Maia managed to avoid a goal in the 47thth minute, when Bonsucesso FC's Luís Gustavo Marquez fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Guilherme Passos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Filipe Varela was out of position in the 57 minute of play, and Dário Toledo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Dário Toledo really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Guilherme Passos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bonsucesso FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Guilherme Passos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Enio Maia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Wilton Linhares fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Silvério Vinhas took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 71st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Enio Maia. Jaceaba's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Filipe Varela showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dário Toledo, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Luiz Paulo Pernambucano hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Charles Vianna got free with Filipe Varela in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Luís Gustavo Marquez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Filipe Varela made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dário Toledo in the 87th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Charles Vianna got free with Filipe Varela in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
