Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rafinha Baptista made a kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jardel Sergipano got free with Dorian Vaz in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 63rd minute, Jardel Sergipano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dorian Vaz was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Rafinha Baptista came free in the 66th minute and tried to tip the ball over Vladimir Alvarenga, but to the joy of Ipaarana AD's supporters the ball went over. Evandro Pirani missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 73 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Vladimir Alvarenga right hand side. When Rafinha Baptista came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Nerv fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rafinha Baptista couldn't finish the play. Nerv's Evandro Pirani got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jardel Sergipano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 98th minute, Jardel Sergipano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ipaarana AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Jardel Sergipano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dorian Vaz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match was over Ipaarana AD could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Nerv throughout the match.
