After a rather tough play, AA Sempre Nós FC's Aloísio Silva got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Cabo Branco FC's Julio Soin got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 6 minutes into the match, Cabo Branco FC's goal looked a bit too open when Josué Sena came free, but Fernando Bastos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fernando Bastos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aloísio Silva in the 8th minute of play. 9 minutes into the match, AA Sempre Nós FC's goalkeeper Sebastião Mota had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Julio Soin. In the 12th minute, Julio Soin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Paul Bocșan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cabo Branco FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Paul Bocșan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sebastião Mota breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With his leg Sebastião Mota managed to avoid a goal in the 15thth minute, when Cabo Branco FC's Julio Soin fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 21 minutes, Adrianinho Batista mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AA Sempre Nós FC and the Cabo Branco FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 21st match minute, AA Sempre Nós FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adrianinho Batista to maneuver through the defense. 23 minutes into the match, AA Sempre Nós FC's goal looked a bit too open when Paul Bocșan came free, but Sebastião Mota reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to AA Sempre Nós FC getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Amauri Trancoso hit a great ball. In the 25th match minute, Cabo Branco FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cipriano Baptista to maneuver through the defense. 29 minutes into the match, Cabo Branco FC's goal looked a bit too open when Evandro Rocha came free, but Fernando Bastos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julio Soin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Sebastião Mota made a huge save. Cabo Branco FC's Marcelinho Passos got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 39th minute, Julio Soin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sebastião Mota was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Sebastião Mota stood somewhat misplaced when Julio Soin came free in front of goal and shot 2-0 to the left of him in the 45 minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Josué Sena to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Paul Bocșan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cabo Branco FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Paul Bocșan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sebastião Mota breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Julio Soin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Julio Soin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sebastião Mota was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. Fernando Bastos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Josué Sena in the 68th minute of play. If Marcelinho Passos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Cabo Branco FC's Paul Bocșan quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Percy de Azevedo, made in the 75th minute of the game. Marcelinho Passos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Sebastião Mota tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Julio Soin took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sebastião Mota. Sebastião Mota dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Adrianinho Batista hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Cabo Branco FC had played much better football throughout.
