Claudinho Medeiros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julio Soin in the 18th minute of the match. Cabo Branco FC's Fernando Bastos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Cabo Branco FC from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Julio Soin in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Claudinho Medeiros saved Alemquer EC from getting behind. Claudinho Paulista came free with the goalkeeper in the 27th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Fernando Bastos could save by the left post. Marcelinho Passos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Julio Soin succeeded in the game's 44th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 2-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Anísio Mendes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Alemquer EC's Claudinho Medeiros tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 77 minutes into the game, Claudinho Paulista was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. With his leg Claudinho Medeiros managed to avoid a goal in the 85thth minute, when Cabo Branco FC's Julio Soin fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side.
