Spectators: 6657 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1657, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Caco da Rocha got the match started through his kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Ipaarana AD's goalkeeper Vladimir Alvarenga had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Christian Vasconcelos. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Erik Nunes during the 6th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Candial getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Robinho Secco hit a great ball. In the 11th minute Bruno Garcia suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. 11 minutes into the game, Leonardo Falcão was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Candial's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ipaarana AD the free kick. The supporters of Ipaarana AD booed when Candial was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonardo Falcão didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leonardo Falcão kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. In the 15th match minute, Candial was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ronaldão de Senna to maneuver through the defense. Christian Vasconcelos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vladimir Alvarenga having to make a save. After a rather tough play, Ipaarana AD's Erik Nunes got a free kick in the 25th minute. In the 26th minute, Caco da Rocha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 29th minute, Jardel Sergipano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Christian Vasconcelos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Vladimir Alvarenga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Ipaarana AD's Fred Chaves got a free kick in the 37th minute. 37 minutes into the match, Candial's Júlio Massa broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. If Jardel Sergipano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Jardel Sergipano made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Jardel Sergipano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Candial's Christian Vasconcelos got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jardel Sergipano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Francisco Reis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. In the 66th minute, one of Ipaarana AD:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ipaarana AD. The referee gave Candial a penalty, 67 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Júlio Massa, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Ipaarana AD's Vladimir Alvarenga. 2-1. In the 72nd minute, Ademar Godoi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 76th minute Caco da Rocha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vladimir Alvarenga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vladimir Alvarenga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christian Vasconcelos in the 80th minute of play. After 81 minutes of play Ipaarana AD's Erik Nunes was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After a rather tough play, Ipaarana AD's Erik Nunes got a free kick in the 81st minute. Christian Vasconcelos struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Vladimir Alvarenga didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Candial. In the 86th minute, Caco da Rocha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Caco da Rocha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Caco da Rocha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. For all the effort they put into the match, the Ipaarana AD players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Candial.
