An unexpectedly hard shot by Cauan Montenegro in the 15th minute of play forced Alemquer EC's goalkeeper Claudinho Medeiros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Claudinho Medeiros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jardel Sergipano in the 20th minute of play. Alemquer EC's Claudinho Medeiros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jardel Sergipano in the 28th minute of play. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Anísio Mendes was the one to do the kick off. In the 56thth minute of the game Anísio Mendes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ipaarana AD's Vladimir Alvarenga was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Cauan Montenegro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cauan Montenegro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Alemquer EC's Armandinho Silveira got a free kick in the 64th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Alemquer EC's zone, Jardel Sergipano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Claudinho Medeiros came out of the goal and Jardel Sergipano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Claudinho Paulista came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Alemquer EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Claudinho Paulista couldn't finish the play. After 74 minutes, Betinho Bertassi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Alemquer EC and the Ipaarana AD players grew even worse after the yellow card. Claudinho Medeiros was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Bruno Garcia. Claudinho Medeiros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cauan Montenegro in the 76th minute of the match. Jardel Sergipano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 78 minutes into the match, Alemquer EC's goal looked a bit too open when Cauan Montenegro came free, but Claudinho Medeiros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Claudinho Paulista's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vladimir Alvarenga was relentless in the 80th minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Anísio Mendes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alemquer EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Anísio Mendes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vladimir Alvarenga breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Ipaarana AD's zone, Claudinho Paulista stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vladimir Alvarenga came out of the goal and Claudinho Paulista tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Alemquer EC's Claudinho Medeiros got control of the ball when Cauan Montenegro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jardel Sergipano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 97th minute of the match, but Claudinho Medeiros made a huge save. Vladimir Alvarenga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudinho Paulista, who was totally free with the ball in the 99th minute. The Ipaarana AD supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Ipaarana AD would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
