The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee ignored Macarani's protests and gave Juninho Nascimento a yellow card for diving instead. Juninho Nascimento hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. If Ismael Bastos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The coaching staff of Fim de Mundo F.C. protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Willian Veloso had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Severino Moura went to the wrong direction when Sidney de Alcântara was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. The Macarani players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Fim de Mundo F.C. were winning 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sandro Sousa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 57 minutes into the game, Gil Tróia was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fim de Mundo F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Macarani the free kick.
