An unexpectedly hard shot by Tales Sarmento in the 5th minute of play forced Nerv's goalkeeper Dorian Vaz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 6th minute Fernandinho Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dorian Vaz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fernandinho Montenegro did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Dorian Vaz 8 minutes into the match. 14 minutes into the game, Clube Atlético Piracicaba's Fernandinho Montenegro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dorian Vaz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. In the 17th minute, Clube Atlético Piracicaba's Fernandinho Montenegro dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. Clube Atlético Piracicaba's Paulão Antunes got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nerv's Dorian Vaz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernandinho Montenegro in the 32nd minute of play. Dorian Vaz made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Paulão Antunes sent off a good shot on target. Fernandinho Montenegro struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Dorian Vaz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Clube Atlético Piracicaba. Dorian Vaz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fernandinho Montenegro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Nerv's Dorian Vaz got control of the ball when Fernandinho Montenegro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dorian Vaz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fernandinho Montenegro in the 43rd minute. If Marcus Melo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fernandinho Montenegro to make the kick off. Válter Antunes charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Válter Antunes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 54thth minute of the game Fernandinho Montenegro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Nerv's Dorian Vaz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Fernandinho Montenegro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dorian Vaz having to interfere. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind Nerv's goalkeeper Dorian Vaz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fernandinho Montenegro in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dorian Vaz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Clube Atlético Piracicaba's Paulão Antunes got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 78th minute, Fernandinho Montenegro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dorian Vaz was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. Fernandinho Montenegro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Dorian Vaz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fernandinho Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Andrézinho Viana recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fernandinho Montenegro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Clube Atlético Piracicaba had played much better football throughout.
