In a very dangerous position, a player in Ibiaci SS fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 4th minute. Penalty! Marcos Duarte showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edvaldo Vander, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. In the 11th minute, Fiori Guedes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cambaras fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. When Andrézinho Barral fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ibiaci SS's protests and gave Andrézinho Barral a yellow card for diving instead. Andrézinho Barral hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Fiori Guedes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcos Duarte read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. When Edvaldo Vander came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Cambaras fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edvaldo Vander couldn't finish the play. Edvaldo Vander fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcos Duarte having to interfere. Marcos Duarte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edvaldo Vander in the 23rd minute of the match. Ernesto Diniz kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. If Edvaldo Vander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ronaldo Donatello recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Edvaldo Vander took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcos Duarte. Marcos Duarte dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Fiori Guedes might have been able to make a better finish in the 45th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcos Duarte. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fiori Guedes ran back to his position shaking his head. When Vágner Meira fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ibiaci SS's protests and gave Vágner Meira a yellow card for diving instead. In the 46th minute, Vágner Meira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 47 minutes into the match, Cambaras's Sandro Senna broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vito Carioca made a kick off. Fiori Guedes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Marcos Duarte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fiori Guedes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcos Duarte having to interfere. Edvaldo Vander could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Marcos Duarte made a huge save. With a little luck, Ibiaci SS's Marcos Duarte got control of the ball when Edvaldo Vander tried to sneak it across the goal line. 71 minutes into the game, Ernesto Diniz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ibiaci SS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cambaras the free kick. Ibiaci SS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cambaras the free kick.
