After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Paulinho Penha managed to get in a good position for a shot. Praia Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Paulinho Penha was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Richard Rezende breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 16 minutes into the match, Praia Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Betão Araújo came free, but Sérgio Bastos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Micaelos F C's Richard Rezende played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gonçalo Vinhas in the 19th minute of play. 19 minutes into the game, Nuno do Vale was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Micaelos F C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Praia Clube the free kick. After 19 played minutes Micaelos F C got a freekick which was hit by Nuno do Vale. Betão Araújo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sérgio Bastos having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Betão Araújo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sérgio Bastos was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. Betão Araújo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erasmo Tande in the 35th minute of play forced Micaelos F C's goalkeeper Richard Rezende to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 39th match minute, Micaelos F C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Carlos Furtado to maneuver through the defense. Erasmo Tande struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Richard Rezende didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Praia Clube. 45 minutes into the match, Micaelos F C's goal looked a bit too open when Thiago Paulista came free, but Richard Rezende reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 45th minute Thiago Paulista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Richard Rezende saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Betão Araújo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Praia Clube defense, Júlio Vander kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sérgio Bastos. The Praia Clube fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sérgio Bastos should have stopped the shot. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Betão Araújo was the one to do the kick off. In the 56th minute of the match Diego Palmeira shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sérgio Bastos showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Betão Araújo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Nuno do Vale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sérgio Bastos came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by Micaelos F C's Betão Araújo. But to his dismay, Betão Araújo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Betão Araújo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sérgio Bastos having to interfere. Richard Rezende made an important save on a dangerous shot by Erasmo Tande in the 70th minute. 72 minutes into the match, Praia Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Júlio Vander came free, but Sérgio Bastos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sérgio Bastos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Betão Araújo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Erasmo Tande could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Richard Rezende made a huge save. Micaelos F C's Betão Araújo got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sérgio Bastos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Betão Araújo's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. In the 84th minute Gonçalo Vinhas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Richard Rezende saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Betão Araújo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Micaelos F C booed when Praia Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sydney Valadares didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match clock showed 88 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Betão Araújo sped through Praia Clube's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Sérgio Bastos. A collision led to Praia Clube getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Haroldo Marquez hit a great ball. Haroldo Marquez kicked well hit freekick during the 98th minute of the match. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Micaelos F C had played much better football throughout.
