The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Jókei CE's Osvaldinho Catarinense slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Marcos Duarte. That made the score 1-0 after 7 minutes of play. Vito Carioca succeeded in the game's 10th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-1. 14 minutes into the match, Ibiaci SS's Dagoberto Alcântara sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pedro Luís Tinoco narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Jókei CE's Geovani Salles got a free kick in the 14th minute. 20 minutes into the match, Ibiaci SS's goalkeeper Marcos Duarte had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Willian Koehler. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Osvaldinho Catarinense in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcos Duarte saved Ibiaci SS from getting behind. Ernesto Diniz charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ernesto Diniz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jókei CE's Osvaldinho Catarinense got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marcos Duarte came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by Jókei CE's Willian Koehler. But to his dismay, Willian Koehler quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Willian Koehler's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 36thth minute, Marcos Duarte skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Marcos Duarte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Osvaldinho Catarinense in the 37th minute of the match. Osvaldinho Catarinense struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Marcos Duarte didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jókei CE. After 47 played minutes Jókei CE got a freekick which was hit by Geovani Salles. Pedro Luís Tinoco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vito Carioca in the 48th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Osvaldinho Catarinense made a kick off. After 56 played minutes, Jókei CE's José Vítor Pires shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Marcos Duarte came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Jókei CE reached it. Willian Koehler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Marcos Duarte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 59th minute, Ernesto Diniz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 60th minute, Willian Koehler got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Pedro Luís Tinoco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dagoberto Alcântara in the 66th minute of play. In the 71st minute, Jókei CE's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Vito Carioca fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 78 minutes into the match, Jókei CE's goalkeeper Pedro Luís Tinoco had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vito Carioca. Willian Koehler blasted a shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marcos Duarte having to make a save. 85 minutes into the match, Jókei CE's goal looked a bit too open when Dagoberto Alcântara came free, but Pedro Luís Tinoco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Jókei CE's zone, Dagoberto Alcântara stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Luís Tinoco came out of the goal and Dagoberto Alcântara tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ibiaci SS's Ernesto Diniz got his second yellow card of the match in the 95th minute. The referee ordered Ernesto Diniz off the ground. In the 97th minute, Marcinho Veloso sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Ibiaci SS's Marcos Duarte didn't even have to move. Jókei CE walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
