An unexpectedly hard shot by Fiori Guedes in the 19th minute of play forced kaneciis's goalkeeper Oscar Varela to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. kaneciis's Maicon Custódio got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Cambaras getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Elias Fontes hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in kaneciis's zone, Edvaldo Vander stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Oscar Varela came out of the goal and Edvaldo Vander tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ronaldo Donatello fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oscar Varela having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Doni Domingues during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Doni Domingues hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. The long shot by Sandro Senna in the 31st minute really tested Oscar Varela's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 32nd match minute, kaneciis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wilian Torres to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of kaneciis booed when Cambaras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronaldo Donatello didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marco Paulista in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ruy Prestes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Belmiro de Senna hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Cambaras's Luís Gustavo Zanette got his second yellow card of the match in the 42nd minute. The referee ordered Luís Gustavo Zanette off the ground. In the 45thth minute of the game Marco Paulista who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cambaras's Ruy Prestes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 45 minutes into the game, Fiori Guedes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player.
