When the match had gone on for 13 minutes, Christian Corrêa took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Matías Chaves to make any attempt to save it. Chiquinho Nogueira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Durval Sena's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. If Rogério Sarmento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 20 minutes of play, Rockbol's Durval Sena made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Chiquinho Nogueira was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Juan Dracena managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lion Azul FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Juan Dracena was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Matías Chaves breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the Lion Azul FC defense, Rogério Sarmento kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Chiquinho Nogueira. The Lion Azul FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Chiquinho Nogueira should have stopped the shot. In the 37th minute, Juan Dracena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Durval Sena's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Chiquinho Nogueira was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. Rogério Sarmento scored 1-3 in the 44th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Chiquinho Nogueira, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Durval Sena did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-5 to the left of a surprised Chiquinho Nogueira 56 minutes into the match. After having played for 59 minutes, Durval Sena managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rockbol's supporters crossed their fingers, but Durval Sena was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Chiquinho Nogueira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rogério Sarmento's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. In the 67th minute, Rockbol's Rogério Sarmento ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Chiquinho Nogueira. Chiquinho Nogueira yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-6. After 70 played minutes Benedito Campidelis rounded Lion Azul FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-7. If Rogério Sarmento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Rogério Sarmento came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Rockbol fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rogério Sarmento couldn't finish the play. Rogério Sarmento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chiquinho Nogueira having to interfere. Lion Azul FC's Chiquinho Nogueira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Lion Azul FC from getting a goal against them. Lion Azul FC's Chiquinho Nogueira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rogério Sarmento in the 92nd minute of play. Chiquinho Nogueira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rogério Sarmento in the 94th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adilson da Silveira in the 95th minute of play forced Lion Azul FC's goalkeeper Chiquinho Nogueira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
