Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Esteban Reno took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chico Motta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 7th minute, Santelmo FC's Tony Moreno dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. A collision led to Santelmo FC getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Flávio dos Santos hit a great ball. With an all-out effort, Santelmo FC's Esteban Reno threw himself towards the right post 11 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Nilson Arantes, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Enio Montenegro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Simão Porto in the 13th minute of the match. After 14 played minutes Santelmo FC got a freekick which was hit by Enio Motta. Cláudio da Rocha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 21 minutes into the match, Bahia MZ Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Esteban Reno had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Chico Motta. The supporters of Bahia MZ Futebol Clube booed when Santelmo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nilson Arantes didn't get a good kick on the ball. 25 minutes into the match, Bahia MZ Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Nilson Arantes came free, but Esteban Reno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sotil Abraldez was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 26 minutes into the match. Chico Motta scored 2-0 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Esteban Reno, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 36th minute, Santelmo FC's Tony Moreno dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Santelmo FC's Tony Moreno slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Esteban Reno. That made the score 5-0 after 39 minutes of play. Esteban Reno made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Chico Motta sent off a good shot on target. Enio Montenegro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zeca de Barros, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. 47 minutes into the match, Chico Motta dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Esteban Reno, 6-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Chico Motta to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Flávio dos Santos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Esteban Reno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 56 minutes into the match, Chico Motta notched a goal, 7-0, to the right of Bahia MZ Futebol Clube's Esteban Reno. Esteban Reno was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Esteban Reno came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by Santelmo FC's Chico Motta. But to his dismay, Chico Motta quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 9-0. Bahia MZ Futebol Clube's Esteban Reno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Flávio dos Santos in the 82nd minute of play. Régis Mineiro hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Bahia MZ Futebol Clube's zone, Ernesto Pombal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Esteban Reno came out of the goal and Ernesto Pombal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the referee ended the match the Santelmo FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
