After a defensive mix-up in Fastama Top FC's zone, Adelino Loureiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luís Cardozo came out of the goal and Adelino Loureiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Charles Marinho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gabriel Linhares, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Adelino Loureiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Luís Cardozo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Adelino Loureiro might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luís Cardozo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Adelino Loureiro ran back to his position shaking his head. If Zé Leite had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gabriel Linhares was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 53 minutes, Zé Leite managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Botafogo BA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zé Leite was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Adelino Loureiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Cardozo having to interfere. Benjamin Gerber sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adelino Loureiros short, quick shot in the 64thth minute got Luís Cardozo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Kaká de Amorim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With his leg Luís Cardozo managed to avoid a goal in the 67thth minute, when Botafogo BA's Adelino Loureiro fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Basílio Dracena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Basílio Dracena recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Adelino Loureiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Luís Cardozo made a huge save. Luís Cardozo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kaká de Amorim in the 73rd minute of play. If Adelino Loureiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benjamin Gerber kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Kaká de Amorim blasted a shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luís Cardozo having to make a save. Adelino Loureiro's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Luís Cardozo firmly grabbed it by the left post. Luís Cardozo came out of the goal and Kaká de Amorim tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 94 minutes into the game, Zé Leite was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Botafogo BA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fastama Top FC the free kick. Zé Leite hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match.
