Spectators: 6665 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1665, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Bernardo Dionísio started the match with the kick off. A collision led to Spp City getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Bernardo Linares hit a great ball. Valdir Rosado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angelo Gonçalves in the 8th minute of the match. In the 8th minute, Angelo Gonçalves left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Aporema fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Manfredo Neiva managed to get in a good position for a shot. Spp City's supporters rose to their feet, but Manfredo Neiva was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Chico Luz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Angelo Gonçalves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Valdir Rosado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 24th match minute, Spp City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Natã Toledo to maneuver through the defense. If Angelo Gonçalves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 28 played minutes Spp City got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Fernandes. In the 33rd minute Bernardo Dionísio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chico Luz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Deivid Ferreira charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Deivid Ferreira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Aporema getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bernardo Dionísio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 46 minutes into the match, Aporema's goal looked a bit too open when Manfredo Neiva came free, but Chico Luz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Angelo Gonçalves made a kick off. Chico Luz made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Manfredo Neiva sent off a good shot on target. 61 minutes into the match, Spp City's goal looked a bit too open when Angelo Gonçalves came free, but Valdir Rosado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Natã Toledo hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. When Virgílio Massa fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Spp City's protests and gave Virgílio Massa a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Spp City's Virgílio Massa got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Valdir Rosado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Angelo Gonçalves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Manfredo Neiva came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Spp City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Manfredo Neiva couldn't finish the play. Jaime Araújo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Angelo Gonçalves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valdir Rosado having to interfere. Manfredo Neiva could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Chico Luz made a huge save. In the 84th minute, Aporema's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Bernardo Dionísio fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Aporema's Angelo Gonçalves got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 89 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Aporema!
