Tomás Pereira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Thiago Matorin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andrézinho Koehler having to interfere. In the 44thth minute of the game Thiago Matorin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Traveller F.B.T.P's Andrézinho Koehler was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Tião Domingues managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mangalatiba's supporters rose to their feet, but Tião Domingues was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Andrézinho Koehler breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mangalatiba's Tomás Pereira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Róbson Dionísio in the 64th minute of play. Andrézinho Koehler didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 69th minute, which inside left pole to 1-2. Tomás Pereira came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by Traveller F.B.T.P's Róbson Dionísio. But to his dismay, Róbson Dionísio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. In the 78th minute Thiago Matorin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andrézinho Koehler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gilvan Ceresso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
