In the 14thth minute of the game Faustão Furtado who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Macazeira's Délio Fantini was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 16 minutes, Tadeu Peres managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FERTIFLORA FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tadeu Peres was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, FERTIFLORA FC's Mateus Zanette got control of the ball when Jairo Cardoso tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of FERTIFLORA FC booed when Macazeira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Deivid de Azevedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Délio Fantini came out of the goal and Eugênio Domingues tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eusébio Bezerra stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Silvério Passos might have been able to make a better finish in the 51st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Délio Fantini. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Silvério Passos ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of FERTIFLORA FC booed when Macazeira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Silvério Passos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Macazeira defense, Faustão Furtado kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Délio Fantini. The Macazeira fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Délio Fantini should have stopped the shot. When the match clock showed 73 minutes, the score became 2-3 when Faustão Furtado sped through Macazeira's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Délio Fantini. When Silvério Passos came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the FERTIFLORA FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Silvério Passos couldn't finish the play. Faustão Furtado in the 79thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in FERTIFLORA FC's zone, Eusébio Bezerra stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mateus Zanette came out of the goal and Eusébio Bezerra tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mateus Zanette showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jairo Cardoso in the 94th minute of the match.
