Didi da Silva's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jorginho Mazza read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. Rubinho Pontes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juan Donatello in the 28th minute of play. Didi da Silva could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Jorginho Mazza made a huge save. Jorginho Mazza made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Didi da Silva sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Santa Brahma S. C.'s Juan Donatello got a free kick in the 32nd minute. 35 minutes into the match, Santa Brahma S. C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Matías de Toledo came free, but Jorginho Mazza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 38 minutes into the game, Santa Brahma S. C.'s Egídio Sampaio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rubinho Pontes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Jorginho Mazza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jorginho Mazza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Basílio Nóbrega, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jorginho Mazza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matías de Toledo in the 84th minute of play. Jefferson Coutinho struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. In the 94th minute, Júlio Romero reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Rubinho Pontes. The goal made the score 1-4. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Santa Brahma S. C. had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
