Luizinho Ribeiro who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 11thth minute tested the skills of Rubinho Pontes when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After some careless play in the Ariramba defense, Samuel Cardoso kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rubinho Pontes. The Ariramba fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rubinho Pontes should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Ariramba getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Jefferson Coutinho hit a great ball. 24 minutes into the match, Ariramba's goalkeeper Rubinho Pontes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luizinho Ribeiro. When Basílio Nóbrega came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Ariramba fans jumped to their feet. Samuel Cardoso could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Rubinho Pontes made a huge save. Samuel Cardoso hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. In the 39th minute, Didi da Silva left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ariramba fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. 45 minutes into the match, Ariramba's goalkeeper Rubinho Pontes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luizinho Ribeiro. 3-1 became the score in the 46th minute when Anselmo do Vale elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar.

Star Sports Clube's Arlindo de Queiroz was substituted for Luizinho Ribeiro. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Didi da Silva to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Ariramba's Jefferson Coutinho got a free kick in the 61st minute. After 63 played minutes Star Sports Clube got a freekick which was hit by Arlindo de Queiroz. In the 91st minute Chicão Zanette shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rubinho Pontes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Ariramba's zone, Samuel Cardoso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rubinho Pontes came out of the goal and Samuel Cardoso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Star Sports Clube were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Ariramba for a fine match.
