Luizinho Ribeiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Joaquim Vianna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luizinho Ribeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luizinho Ribeiro in the 20th minute of play forced TEC's goalkeeper Joaquim Vianna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 22ndth minute of the game Luizinho Ribeiro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but TEC's Joaquim Vianna was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Geovanni Godoi hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. TEC's Joaquim Vianna played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chicão Zanette in the 25th minute of play. After some careless play in the TEC defense, Afonso Mendonça kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Joaquim Vianna. The TEC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Joaquim Vianna should have stopped the shot. Clemente Pernambucano hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. In the 45th match minute, TEC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Artur Koehler to maneuver through the defense. Joaquim Vianna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Samuel Cardoso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joaquim Vianna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chicão Zanette in the 50th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Chicão Zanette made a kick off. In the 57th minute Afonso Mendonça shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquim Vianna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Star Sports Clube's attentive Serafim Paulista managed to snatch the ball when João Francisco Meirelles made a throw-in in the 59th minute of the game. Chicão Zanette fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquim Vianna having to interfere. Luizinho Ribeiro hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, TEC's Artur Koehler got a free kick in the 80th minute. 83 minutes into the match, Chicão Zanette had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Joaquim Vianna. TEC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Chicão Zanette was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. Star Sports Clube's attentive Serafim Paulista managed to snatch the ball when João Francisco Meirelles made a throw-in in the 90th minute of the game.
