An unexpectedly hard shot by Didi da Silva in the 11th minute of play forced Itirussu FC's goalkeeper Mathias Cavalcante to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 14 minutes into the match, Didi da Silva notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Itirussu FC's Mathias Cavalcante. Mathias Cavalcante was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Through an outstanding action, after 19 minutes, Rubinho Pontes successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The score was now 1-1. 29 minutes into the match, Ariramba's goal looked a bit too open when Agnaldo Vaz came free, but Rubinho Pontes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Agnaldo Vaz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 33 minutes into the game, Cristiano Moreira cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Rubinho Pontes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Didi da Silva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mathias Cavalcante having to interfere. André Luís Lira hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. 43 minutes into the match, Amílton Massa notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Ariramba's Rubinho Pontes. Rubinho Pontes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Didi da Silva made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Ariramba's goal looked a bit too open when Agnaldo Vaz came free, but Rubinho Pontes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jefferson Coutinho hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Rubinho Pontes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristiano Moreira in the 59th minute of play. When Didi da Silva came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Ariramba fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Didi da Silva couldn't finish the play. After 63 played minutes Itirussu FC got a freekick which was hit by Amílton Massa. Rubinho Pontes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amílton Massa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristiano Moreira in the 66th minute of play forced Ariramba's goalkeeper Rubinho Pontes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Didi da Silva made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 78thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Mathias Cavalcante would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. After 95 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Itirussu FC! Agnaldo Vaz took the ball and in the 99 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rubinho Pontes. Rubinho Pontes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-4. Despite being the better team, Ariramba failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
