The supporters of Base Esporte Clube booed when MilanEsa Fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anderson de Medeiros didn't get a good kick on the ball. Reynaldo Araújo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 42nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Edmílson Falcão. MilanEsa Fc's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Narciso Linhares managed to get in a good position for a shot. Base Esporte Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Narciso Linhares was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edmílson Falcão breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dida Moura's late challenge caught a Base Esporte Clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dida Moura helped the player get up and apologised. After 95 played minutes MilanEsa Fc got a freekick which was hit by Dida Moura. Base Esporte Clube's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
