Agostinho Vander fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorginho Baiano having to interfere. Agostinho Vander received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Jorginho Baiano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jano Cunha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Bernardo Ramalho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without André Luiz Matorin having to interfere. In the 58th minute Giovani Diniz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but André Luiz Matorin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Bernardo Ramalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 63rd match minute, Metropolitano SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zézinho Monteiro to maneuver through the defense. Through an outstanding action, after 67 minutes, Jorginho Baiano successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Jano Cunha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 70th minute, Caetano Britto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Agostinho Vander received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Jorginho Baiano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Agostinho Vander managed to get in a good position for a shot. Metropolitano SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Agostinho Vander was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jorginho Baiano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jano Cunha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorginho Baiano having to interfere. If Jano Cunha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 85 minutes, Agostinho Vander managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Metropolitano SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Agostinho Vander was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With his leg Jorginho Baiano managed to avoid a goal in the 93rdth minute, when Metropolitano SC's Agostinho Vander fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 96th minute, Jano Cunha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Metropolitano SC's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because GPORT F.C had won, even though Metropolitano SC had held more of the ball.
