BANZAI TIMAO FC's Eliézer Brodel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to save BANZAI TIMAO FC from getting a goal against them. 7 minutes into the match, BANZAI TIMAO FC's goal looked a bit too open when Erasmo Bertassi came free, but Eliézer Brodel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 12th minute Itatiaiucu were awarded a corner. Jano de Azevedo went to the cornerflag to take it. Jano de Azevedo made a great header on Itatiaiucu's corner, it was just that BANZAI TIMAO FC's Eliézer Brodel managed to reach the ball for a save. After having played for 14 minutes, Zé Paulo Secco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. BANZAI TIMAO FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zé Paulo Secco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Christian Carneiro came free with the goalkeeper in the 16th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Eliézer Brodel could save by the left post. A collision led to BANZAI TIMAO FC getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Ronaldo Lara hit a great ball. In the 19th match minute, BANZAI TIMAO FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Paulo Oliveira to maneuver through the defense. Kaká Moura recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Samuca Trancoso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eliézer Brodel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erasmo Bertassi in the 30th minute of play. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Itatiaiucu's goalkeeper Giovani Salles, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. BANZAI TIMAO FC's Samuca Trancoso got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 35th minute Zé Paulo Secco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giovani Salles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eliézer Brodel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erasmo Bertassi, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Itatiaiucu's Erasmo Bertassi got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Giovani Salles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Samuca Trancoso in the 43rd minute of the match. 45 minutes into the match, BANZAI TIMAO FC's Samuca Trancoso sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Giovani Salles narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Erasmo Bertassi was the one to do the kick off. Zé Paulo Secco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Giovani Salles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Samuca Trancoso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giovani Salles having to interfere. Erasmo Bertassi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eliézer Brodel having to interfere. Giovani Salles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Samuca Trancoso, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. In the 79th minute, Jano de Azevedo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erasmo Bertassi in the 83rd minute of play forced BANZAI TIMAO FC's goalkeeper Eliézer Brodel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eliézer Brodel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christian Carneiro in the 85th minute of play. BANZAI TIMAO FC's Eliézer Brodel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christian Carneiro in the 90th minute of play. When Christian Carneiro came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Itatiaiucu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Christian Carneiro couldn't finish the play. If Erasmo Bertassi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Erasmo Bertassi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eliézer Brodel having to interfere. Itatiaiucu's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
