After 14 minutes, Marcelo de Sousa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the GPORT F.C and the BANZAI TIMAO FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 14th match minute, GPORT F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcelo de Sousa to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as BANZAI TIMAO FC's Samuca Trancoso slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jorginho Baiano. That made the score 1-0 after 20 minutes of play. In the 26th minute, Samuca Trancoso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Giovani Diniz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zé Paulo Secco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorginho Baiano having to interfere. Jorginho Baiano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zé Paulo Secco, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Samuca Trancoso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorginho Baiano having to interfere. Caetano Britto kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. When Zé Paulo Secco came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the BANZAI TIMAO FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zé Paulo Secco couldn't finish the play. When Walmir Damião fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored GPORT F.C's protests and gave Walmir Damião a yellow card for diving instead. Walmir Damião hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. 72 minutes into the match, BANZAI TIMAO FC's goal looked a bit too open when Giovani Diniz came free, but Eliézer Brodel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bernardo Ramalho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Eliézer Brodel made a huge save. GPORT F.C's Jorginho Baiano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Samuca Trancoso in the 75th minute of play. Bernardo Ramalho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jorginho Baiano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Samuca Trancoso, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Jorginho Baiano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Samuca Trancoso in the 84th minute of the match. Samuca Trancoso's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jorginho Baiano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. Giovani Diniz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Eliézer Brodel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ronaldo Lara charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ronaldo Lara the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When %teams%'s Bernardo Ramalho was free in front of goal, he didn't hesitate to shoot 1-1 just inside the left pole, 93 minutes into the game. Eliézer Brodel was annoyed at himself for letting in the shot. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
