Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dráuzio Ceresso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 12 minutes into the match, Itatiaiucu's goalkeeper Giovani Salles had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dráuzio Ceresso. In the 19th minute, Eusébio Paiva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Erasmo Bertassi in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gláuber Miranda saved Formosa from getting behind. When Dráuzio Ceresso came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Formosa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dráuzio Ceresso couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Angelo Fernandes in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gláuber Miranda prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Itatiaiucu's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jano de Azevedo in the 35th minute. Gláuber Miranda stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Christian Carneiro's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. In the 39th minute Erasmo Bertassi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gláuber Miranda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gláuber Miranda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erasmo Bertassi in the 41st minute of the match. Dráuzio Ceresso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giovani Salles having to interfere. If Celso Souto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Formosa players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Itatiaiucu were winning 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Erasmo Bertassi made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Formosa's goalkeeper Gláuber Miranda had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Christian Carneiro. With a little luck, Formosa's Gláuber Miranda got control of the ball when Christian Carneiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Formosa's Gláuber Miranda proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Formosa from getting a goal against them. Giovani Salles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Celso Souto, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Gláuber Miranda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erasmo Bertassi in the 66th minute of the match. Christian Carneiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Christian Carneiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gláuber Miranda having to interfere. In the 81st minute, Celso Souto left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Formosa fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. If Christian Carneiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gláuber Miranda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erasmo Bertassi, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Giovani Salles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Celso Souto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Dráuzio Ceresso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Itatiaiucu were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
