Spectators: 7194 (Terracing: 5397, Seating: 1654, VIP seats: 143) 7 minutes into the game, Manairama's Humberto de Castro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. André Luiz Matorin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. When the match had gone on for 16 minutes, Jano Cunha put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Geovani Monteiro. The referee showed Igor Arce the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 38 minutes into the match, Manairama's goal looked a bit too open when Jano Cunha came free, but Geovani Monteiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jano Cunha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Geovani Monteiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

A collision led to Manairama getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Hélio Coutinho hit a great ball. 54 minutes into the match, Metropolitano SC's Durvalino Linares broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Jano Cunha might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Geovani Monteiro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jano Cunha ran back to his position shaking his head. Agostinho Vander took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Geovani Monteiro. Geovani Monteiro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. After a defensive mix-up in Manairama's zone, Jano Cunha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Geovani Monteiro came out of the goal and Jano Cunha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Metropolitano SC's André Luiz Matorin got control of the ball when Laerte Fonseca tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Humberto de Castro came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Manairama fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Humberto de Castro couldn't finish the play. After 86 played minutes Metropolitano SC got a freekick which was hit by Zézinho Monteiro. Humberto de Castro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jano Cunha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Agostinho Vander recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Metropolitano SC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
