The referee felt a red card was in order, 17 minutes into the game, when Percival Guedes put in a rough tackle. 16 minutes into the game, one of Icoraci:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Itatiaiucu a penalty, 19 minutes into the game. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Erasmo Bertassi was the one to do the kick off. Rodrigo Alcântara came out and tried to block the shot, but Erasmo Bertassi slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 53rd minute. If Benê Zonta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benê Zonta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Giovani Salles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Icoraci's Rodrigo Alcântara got control of the ball when Christian Carneiro tried to sneak it across the goal line.
