Roberto Dias blasted a shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gláuber Miranda having to make a save. With a little luck, Formosa's Gláuber Miranda got control of the ball when Roberto Dias tried to sneak it across the goal line. Roberto Dias who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 23rdth minute tested the skills of Gláuber Miranda when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Gustavo Amorim struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Gláuber Miranda didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Salles AD. Dráuzio Ceresso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Deivid Seco having to interfere. Formosa's defense didn't have a chance, in the 40th minute, when Gustavo Amorim scored to the left of an out of position Gláuber Miranda, making the score, 2-0. In the 47th match minute, Formosa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dráuzio Ceresso to maneuver through the defense. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The Formosa fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gláuber Miranda should have stopped the shot. Roberto Dias scored 4-0 in the 64th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gláuber Miranda, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 68 minutes into the match, Formosa's goal looked a bit too open when Roberto Dias came free, but Gláuber Miranda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Roberto Dias's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gláuber Miranda was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. If Roberto Dias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Gustavo Amorim recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Formosa's Gláuber Miranda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roberto Dias in the 76th minute of play. In the 79th minute, Roberto Dias got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Roberto Dias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gláuber Miranda came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Salles AD's Gustavo Amorim. But to his dismay, Gustavo Amorim quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Salles AD had played much better football throughout.
