In the 37th minute, one of T. Rex Maverick FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for T. Rex Maverick FC. Renan Chaves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Vítor Medeiros in the 40th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Magno Sá in the 41st minute of play forced Galena's goalkeeper Renan Chaves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 42nd minute Alexandre Porto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Renan Chaves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 45thth minute of the game Régis Vale who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but T. Rex Maverick FC's Iuri Vidal was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.

The crowd rose to their feet as Alexandre Porto kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Renan Chaves. That made the score 0-3 in the 97 minute of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched T. Rex Maverick FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
