Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Fidelis's Fred de Brito started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Fidelis booed when Queimacao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nico Munhoz didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Fidelis defense, Claudinho Cearense kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gilson Prestes. The Fidelis fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gilson Prestes should have stopped the shot. If Fred de Brito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 10th match minute, Queimacao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedrinho Dias to maneuver through the defense. Mazinho Félix was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Fred de Brito showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 11 minute of play. Mazinho Félix made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Valério Azevedo sent off a good shot on target. The audience was convinced that Fred de Brito's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mazinho Félix was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. Valério Azevedo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 28 minutes, Valério Azevedo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fidelis's supporters crossed their fingers, but Valério Azevedo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fred de Brito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Valério Azevedo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fidelis's supporters rose to their feet, but Valério Azevedo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mazinho Félix breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Queimacao's Mazinho Félix played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fred de Brito in the 35th minute of play. Valério Azevedo's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 42ndth minute, Mazinho Félix skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Elói da Silva stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Valério Azevedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Mazinho Félix tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Antônio Passos's late challenge caught a Fidelis's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Antônio Passos helped the player get up and apologised. Antônio Passos kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. In the 56th minute, Sandro Macedo sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Queimacao's Mazinho Félix didn't even have to move. Délio Vaz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Mazinho Félix tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mazinho Félix took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valério Azevedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Valério Azevedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 69 minutes into the game, one of Queimacao:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Mazinho Félix went to the wrong direction when Sandro Macedo was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. If Valério Azevedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Queimacao's Mazinho Félix played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fred de Brito in the 74th minute of play. Claudinho Cearense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilson Prestes having to interfere. Valério Azevedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Mazinho Félix tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 83 played minutes Queimacao got a freekick which was hit by Antônio Passos. Délio Vaz charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Délio Vaz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Queimacao's Mazinho Félix played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Deivid Quadros in the 92nd minute of play. When Fidelis's Deivid Quadros in the 94th minute got a chance for a shot 94th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Queimacao's goalie prevented a goal. Queimacao succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Fidelis had controlled the match.
