Sílvio Gomes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fellipe Sena having to interfere. After 5 minutes of play, Galena's Régis Vale made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fellipe Sena was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Galena's Régis Vale got a free kick in the 7th minute. Renan Chaves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abel Zanette in the 14th minute of play. Animais da Escolinha's Fellipe Sena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Régis Vale in the 16th minute of play. With a little luck, Galena's Renan Chaves got control of the ball when Adhemar Maciel tried to sneak it across the goal line. Adhemar Maciel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Abel Zanette came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Animais da Escolinha fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abel Zanette couldn't finish the play. Adhemar Maciel in the 32ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Renan Chaves, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Dino Neves was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 46 minutes into the match. 45 minutes into the game, one of Galena:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Galena:s Renan Chaves showed great skill when he stopped Márcio Goiano:s penalty. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Betão de Lima to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Galena's goalkeeper Renan Chaves, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Galena getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Sílvio Gomes hit a great ball. Régis Vale hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. In the 65th minute of the match Márcio Goiano sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Renan Chaves skillfully saved the ball. After having played for 66 minutes, Betão de Lima managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Galena's supporters crossed their fingers, but Betão de Lima was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sílvio Gomes kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Moisés Martins during the 74th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Galena's Moisés Martins got a free kick in the 75th minute. Adhemar Maciel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Renan Chaves having to interfere. Adhemar Maciel took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Renan Chaves. Renan Chaves dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Régis Vale charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Régis Vale the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Galena fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 87th minute. Penalty! Adhemar Maciel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Renan Chaves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Renan Chaves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adhemar Maciel in the 97th minute of play.
