In the 35th minute, Vítor Arósio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Vágner Zanette had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 44 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for São Paulo! Alfredo Pires shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. When the match had gone on for 46 minutes, Alfredo Pires put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Celsinho Tinoco. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vágner Zanette made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Manada FC's Jonas Vargas got a free kick in the 56th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Manada FC's Alfredo Pires tried to score from far away in the 78th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Vítor Arósio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 87th minute, Manada FC's Vágner Zanette dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-5. When Benjamim Neiva fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Manada FC's protests and gave Benjamim Neiva a yellow card for diving instead. Vítor Arósio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The São Paulo fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Manada FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
