The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Tubaroes's Amílton Gerber played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafinha Guedes in the 28th minute of play. After the first half Pacencia were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dinei Barbosa to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Pacencia's goal looked a bit too open when Dinei Barbosa came free, but Ciro Amaral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 55 minutes into the game, Tubaroes's Enrique da Silveira nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Guilherme Saldanha got in the 68th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Amílton Gerber handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. If Rafinha Guedes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Pacencia's Rafinha Guedes got a free kick in the 74th minute. Amílton Gerber made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafinha Guedes in the 78th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Pacencia's Cipriano Netto got a free kick in the 81st minute. Rafinha Guedes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute.
