When Kiko Sá came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the FELIPEKM Fórum Clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kiko Sá couldn't finish the play. Egídio Zanette recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 20th minute, Tião Queirós left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SrMadrugaContador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. FELIPEKM Fórum Clube's Luciano Cardozo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Egídio Zanette in the 29th minute of play. Simão Bezerra hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in FELIPEKM Fórum Clube's zone, Tião Queirós stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luciano Cardozo came out of the goal and Tião Queirós tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, FELIPEKM Fórum Clube's Bebeto Barros got a free kick in the 32nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Egídio Zanette in the 33rd minute of play forced FELIPEKM Fórum Clube's goalkeeper Luciano Cardozo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kiko Sá sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

52 minutes into the game, Amadeu Paraibano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SrMadrugaContador's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FELIPEKM Fórum Clube the free kick. Luciano Cardozo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to FELIPEKM Fórum Clube getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Décio Mandrak hit a great ball. After some careless play in the FELIPEKM Fórum Clube defense, Egídio Zanette kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luciano Cardozo. The FELIPEKM Fórum Clube fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luciano Cardozo should have stopped the shot. The SrMadrugaContador supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing SrMadrugaContador would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
