Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Zé Augusto de Moraes got the match started through his kick off. Atlético Céu Azul's Zé Augusto de Moraes got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Walmir Guedes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Zé Augusto de Moraes went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Atlético Céu Azul's Laerte Neiva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erik Duarte in the 42nd minute of play. The Trahyras players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Atlético Céu Azul were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marcelo Borges was the one to do the kick off. Zé Augusto de Moraes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Walmir Guedes having to interfere. In the 62nd minute Luiz Fernando Silveira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Walmir Guedes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leonardo Peres struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Walmir Guedes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atlético Céu Azul. Walmir Guedes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zé Augusto de Moraes, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rodrigo Mendonça during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
