After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Beto Penha managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guerreiros Legendarios's supporters rose to their feet, but Beto Penha was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Raúl Veloso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 23rd minute, Benjamim de Godoi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 25 minutes of play, Guerreiros Legendarios's Benjamim de Godoi made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Raúl Veloso was left in no man's land by his defense there! Dorival Berger charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Mazinho Carvalho made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Danilo Siqueira sent off a good shot on target. 34 minutes had been played when some careless play by Guerreiros Legendarios's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Laerte Bezerra was slow to take the kick. During this time Alcobaca's players had a chance to rest. Beto Penha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Raúl Veloso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Guerreiros Legendarios were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cléberson Penha stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, Guerreiros Legendarios's Beto Penha dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. The crowd rose to their feet as Vânderson Senna kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Raúl Veloso. That made the score 0-3 in the 60 minute of play. Beto Penha in the 73rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Raúl Veloso, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 73 minutes into the game, Maicon Donato was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Alcobaca's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Guerreiros Legendarios the free kick. A collision led to Alcobaca getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 78th minute, Benjamim de Godoi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Guerreiros Legendarios's Beto Penha got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Beto Penha managed to get in a good position for a shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vânderson Senna in the 94th minute of play forced Alcobaca's goalkeeper Raúl Veloso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Alcobaca getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Laerte Bezerra hit a great ball. Alcobaca's Raúl Veloso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Alcobaca from getting a goal against them. The Alcobaca fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Guerreiros Legendarios were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
