Naldo Reis didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from José Vítor Carvalho went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Naldo Reis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Vítor Carvalho, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. After 27 played minutes Atalho SS got a freekick which was hit by Baltazar Quirino. The supporters of Atalho SS booed when Ribeirinha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Trevisan didn't get a good kick on the ball. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The Atalho SS fans' excitement grew in the 61st match minute when Atalho SS's Manoel Mendes looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dráusio de Lima got free with Naldo Reis in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 74 minutes into the match, Ribeirinha's goal looked a bit too open when Paulinho Aguiar came free, but Natanael Quadros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Paulinho Aguiar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atalho SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Paulinho Aguiar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Natanael Quadros breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Naldo Reis was out of position in the 81 minute of play, and José Vítor Carvalho capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. José Vítor Carvalho really showed his touch with that goal: 3-2. If Paulinho Aguiar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
