Cléberson Penha started the match with the kick off. Décio Britto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cléberson Penha in the 9th minute of the match. Enio Batista recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Danilo Siqueira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Décio Britto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Máquina FC's zone, Cléberson Penha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Décio Britto came out of the goal and Cléberson Penha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 26 played minutes Alcobaca got a freekick which was hit by Dorival Berger. After a defensive mix-up in Alcobaca's zone, Carlos Fernando Barros stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Raúl Veloso came out of the goal and Carlos Fernando Barros tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 29th minute Carlos Fernando Barros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raúl Veloso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Enio Batista fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raúl Veloso having to interfere. In the 33rd minute, one of Alcobaca:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Alcobaca. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Fernando Barros in the 40th minute of play forced Alcobaca's goalkeeper Raúl Veloso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cléberson Penha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Décio Britto having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Carlos Fernando Barros made the kick off in the second half. Cléberson Penha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Máquina FC getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Gilvan Paraibano hit a great ball. Alcobaca's Raúl Veloso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enio Batista in the 60th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enio Batista in the 62nd minute of play forced Alcobaca's goalkeeper Raúl Veloso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Carlos Fernando Barros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Máquina FC's Elivélton Mendes got a free kick in the 69th minute. When Máquina FC's Carlos Fernando Barros in the 72nd minute got a chance for a shot 72nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Alcobaca's goalie prevented a goal. Carlos Fernando Barros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Danilo Massa charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Danilo Massa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Alcobaca's Danilo Massa got a free kick in the 89th minute. Raúl Veloso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Fernando Barros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Augusto de Andrade in the 93rd minute of play forced Máquina FC's goalkeeper Décio Britto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Elivélton Mendes was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 96th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal.
