In the 11th match minute, Dunas SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matías Baiano to maneuver through the defense. Pereba FC's Zé Roberto Sampaio got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jerônimo Paraíba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erivaldo Sergipano having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Dunas SC's zone, Paulinho de Alcântara stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Erivaldo Sergipano came out of the goal and Paulinho de Alcântara tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Dunas SC's goalkeeper Erivaldo Sergipano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Paulinho de Alcântara managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pereba FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Paulinho de Alcântara was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Erivaldo Sergipano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 34 minutes into the match, Dunas SC's goal looked a bit too open when Célio Mendonça came free, but Erivaldo Sergipano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tiago Saldanha hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Paulinho de Alcântara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Erivaldo Sergipano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Pereba FC defense, Matías Baiano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Adalberto Rezende. The Pereba FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Adalberto Rezende should have stopped the shot.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Paulinho de Alcântara to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 57th minute Tiago Saldanha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adalberto Rezende saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Pereba FC's zone, Murilo Mineiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adalberto Rezende came out of the goal and Murilo Mineiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dunas SC's Murilo Mineiro got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Paulinho de Alcântara recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Paulinho de Alcântara struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Erivaldo Sergipano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pereba FC. Zé Roberto Sampaio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erivaldo Sergipano having to interfere. During the 74th minute of the match Matías Baiano completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Matías Baiano a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, Dunas SC's Matías Baiano got a free kick in the 75th minute. When Paulinho de Alcântara came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Pereba FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulinho de Alcântara couldn't finish the play. Murilo Mineiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Adalberto Rezende made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Dunas SC's zone, Paulinho de Alcântara stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Erivaldo Sergipano came out of the goal and Paulinho de Alcântara tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Murilo Mineiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Adalberto Rezende didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Murilo Mineiro went, in the 98th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score.
