Spectators: 6669 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1669, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Antônio Carlos Pombal took the kick off in the first half of the match. 2 minutes into the match, São Paulo Futebol Clube's Scot McCloud sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pedro Luís Furtado narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Scot McCloud received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Pedro Luís Furtado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Manuel Linhares's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pedro Luís Furtado read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. Manuel Linhares might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pedro Luís Furtado. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Manuel Linhares ran back to his position shaking his head. Elano Jacinto acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 16th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Ronaldo Cabral. São Paulo Futebol Clube's Scot McCloud got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Scot McCloud managed to get in a good position for a shot. São Paulo Futebol Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Scot McCloud was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Luís Furtado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Scot McCloud might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pedro Luís Furtado. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Scot McCloud ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Tucunupi FC's Júnior Furlan got a free kick in the 24th minute. After having played for 25 minutes, Scot McCloud managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. São Paulo Futebol Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but Scot McCloud was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 26 minutes into the game, Scot McCloud cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Pedro Luís Furtado was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Pedro Luís Furtado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Scot McCloud, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pedro Luís Furtado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manuel Linhares, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Tiaguinho da Mata struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Pedro Luís Furtado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for São Paulo Futebol Clube. In the 37th minute Manuel Linhares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Luís Furtado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cássio Hermes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Luís Furtado having to interfere. Cássio Hermes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Scot McCloud had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Scot McCloud stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Scot McCloud kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Pedro Luís Furtado. That made the score 0-2 in the 51 minute of play. The supporters of São Paulo Futebol Clube booed when Tucunupi FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wanderson Koehler didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tucunupi FC's Pedro Luís Furtado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Scot McCloud in the 64th minute of play. Manuel Linhares struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Pedro Luís Furtado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for São Paulo Futebol Clube. In the 70th match minute, Tucunupi FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Válbson Capixaba to maneuver through the defense. 71 minutes into the match, Tucunupi FC's goal looked a bit too open when Scot McCloud came free, but Pedro Luís Furtado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Scot McCloud scored 0-4 in the 73rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pedro Luís Furtado, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Scot McCloud came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the São Paulo Futebol Clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Scot McCloud couldn't finish the play. In the 77th minute, Ulisses de Andrade got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Scot McCloud kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. With his leg Pedro Luís Furtado managed to avoid a goal in the 86thth minute, when São Paulo Futebol Clube's Scot McCloud fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Pedro Luís Furtado was out of position in the 89 minute of play, and Cássio Hermes capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Cássio Hermes really showed his touch with that goal: 0-5. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Scot McCloud managed to get in a good position for a shot. São Paulo Futebol Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Scot McCloud was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Luís Furtado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Tucunupi FC getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Wanderson Koehler hit a great ball. After 96 minutes of play, São Paulo Futebol Clube's Scot McCloud made it 0-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pedro Luís Furtado was left in no man's land by his defense there! São Paulo Futebol Clube played a much better game than Tucunupi FC and deserved their victory. The Tucunupi FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
