The supporters of Meaipe AD booed when Oswaldo Atletico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reginaldo Cardoso didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 33 played minutes Oswaldo Atletico got a freekick which was hit by Dagoberto de Toledo. If Aloísio Recife had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dadá Pontes charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dadá Pontes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Oswaldo Atletico getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Dadá Pontes hit a great ball. Aloísio Recife struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Reinaldo Paranaense didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Meaipe AD. 46 minutes into the match, Oswaldo Atletico's goal looked a bit too open when Armandinho Salles came free, but Reinaldo Paranaense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Armandinho Salles was the one to do the kick off. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Oswaldo Atletico's goalie and right to Cristian de Amaral. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Oswaldo Atletico's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. After some careless play in the Oswaldo Atletico defense, Aloísio Recife kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Reinaldo Paranaense. The Oswaldo Atletico fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Reinaldo Paranaense should have stopped the shot. Aloísio Recife struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Reinaldo Paranaense didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Meaipe AD. 61 minutes into the match, Aloísio Recife had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Reinaldo Paranaense. Oswaldo Atletico's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aloísio Recife was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After 65 played minutes Meaipe AD got a freekick which was hit by Vítor de Sousa. Paulo Renato Brito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Edgard Pirani tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Reinaldo Paranaense made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Aloísio Recife sent off a good shot on target. Aloísio Recife recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 83rd minute, Aloísio Recife reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Reinaldo Paranaense. The goal made the score 0-3. Cristian de Amaral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Reinaldo Paranaense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 95 minutes into the match, Oswaldo Atletico's Paulo Renato Brito sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Edgard Pirani narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Paulo Renato Brito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle sounded Meaipe AD left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Oswaldo Atletico.
