Spectators: 7236 (Terracing: 5429, Seating: 1664, VIP seats: 143) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Elder Melo kicked off to start the match. The audience was convinced that Elder Melo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luís Bezerra was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. Aníbal Bittencourt kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. If Davi Azevedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luís Bezerra stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Elder Melo's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. The Lorena fans' excitement grew in the 20th match minute when Lorena's Elder Melo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Cléberson Capixaba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 29th play minutes Elder Melo shot 0-2, a short shot which went by Luís Bezerra and just under the crossbar into goal. Lorena's Elder Melo got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Elder Melo in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luís Bezerra saved Mimosos from getting behind. If Elder Melo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luís Bezerra stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Elder Melo's shot from short distance in the 43rd minute. With a little luck, Lorena's Yuri Falcão got control of the ball when Hermínio Campidelis tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

After 52 played minutes Lorena got a freekick which was hit by Cléberson Capixaba. Luís Bezerra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elder Melo in the 56th minute of play. In the 57th minute, Aníbal Bittencourt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Elder Melo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cléberson Capixaba blasted a shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luís Bezerra having to make a save. In the 67th match minute, Mimosos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cássio Meireles to maneuver through the defense. Geovani Ceresso could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Luís Bezerra made a huge save. Elder Melo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Luís Bezerra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luís Bezerra stood somewhat misplaced when Elder Melo came free in front of goal and shot 0-3 to the left of him in the 71 minute. Elder Melo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Luís Bezerra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Davi Azevedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Bezerra having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Lorena's Zé Rosa got a free kick in the 84th minute. Elder Melo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 93rd minute of the match Váldson do Nascimento sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Luís Bezerra skillfully saved the ball. The supporters of Mimosos booed when Lorena was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cléberson Capixaba didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the final whistle sounded Lorena left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Mimosos.
