Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Furia Tricolor 's Douglas Mello got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Douglas Mello sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 19th minute of the match Naldo Souto sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Adhemar Soeiro skillfully saved the ball. An unexpected shot in the 21st minute by Fred Santana got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. A collision led to Imbuial getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Miguel Martins hit a great ball. If Fred Santana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind Imbuial's goalkeeper Adhemar Soeiro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dinei Rocha during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Dinei Rocha hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Fred Santanas short, quick shot in the 34thth minute got Adhemar Soeiro to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Oswaldo de Amaral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felipe Palmeira in the 39th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Raphael de Godoi during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Oswaldo de Amaral breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Felipe Palmeira in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Oswaldo de Amaral prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Douglas Mello to make the kick off. The supporters of Furia Tricolor booed when Imbuial was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miguel Martins didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Imbuial's Tales Linares got a free kick in the 58th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Imbuial's zone, Fred Santana stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adhemar Soeiro came out of the goal and Fred Santana tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Douglas Mello sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 63rd minute, Douglas Mello left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Furia Tricolor fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. In the 69th minute, Fred Santana got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kaká Albuquerque during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 76th minute, Kaká Albuquerque hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 85 played minutes, Furia Tricolor 's Haroldo Mandrak shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Adhemar Soeiro came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Furia Tricolor reached it. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Christiano Santana managed to get in a good position for a shot. Imbuial's supporters rose to their feet, but Christiano Santana was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dinei Rocha in the 94th minute of play forced Furia Tricolor 's goalkeeper Oswaldo de Amaral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Furia Tricolor 's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
