The shot was stopped by Cafu Barbosa but with some difficulty. Diogo Vieira hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. After 18 minutes of play, Lorena's Elder Melo made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cafu Barbosa was left in no man's land by his defense there! Clóvis Freire struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Cafu Barbosa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lorena. Elder Melo's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 26thth minute, Cafu Barbosa skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Davi Azevedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 34 minutes, Wanderson Sanches mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pussycat Dolls and the Lorena players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 34th minute, Wanderson Sanches hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Davi Azevedo in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cafu Barbosa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Elder Melo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cafu Barbosa having to interfere. Elder Melo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Pussycat Dolls getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Wanderson Sanches hit a great ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Elder Melo to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Elder Melo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lorena's supporters rose to their feet, but Elder Melo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cafu Barbosa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 58th match minute, Lorena was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zé Rosa to maneuver through the defense. The long shot by Vladimir da Fonseca in the 59th minute really tested Yuri Falcão's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After 66 minutes of play, Lorena's Elder Melo made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Elder Melo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Cafu Barbosa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Pussycat Dolls's zone, Clóvis Freire stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cafu Barbosa came out of the goal and Clóvis Freire tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 90th minute Davi Azevedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cafu Barbosa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pussycat Dolls's Cafu Barbosa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elder Melo in the 91st minute of play. Zé Rosa's late challenge caught a Pussycat Dolls's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zé Rosa helped the player get up and apologised. Zé Rosa kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Lorena had played much better football throughout.
