The Lorena fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Davi Azevedo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lorena's supporters rose to their feet, but Davi Azevedo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adrianinho Vander breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 19th minute, one of Hugos Arts Club:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Adrianinho Vander showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Adrianinho Vander didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Elder Melo went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Lorena's Clóvis Freire got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Adrianinho Vander stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Elder Melo's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. Elder Melo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Elder Melo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adrianinho Vander having to interfere. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hugos Arts Club's goalkeeper Adrianinho Vander, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Arnaldo de Godoi to make the kick off. Adrianinho Vander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Clóvis Freire, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. If Elder Melo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
