Arnaldo de Godoi ran back to his position shaking his head. Raphael de Godoi hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. 91 minutes into the match, Furia Tricolor 's goal looked a bit too open when Arnaldo de Godoi came free, but Oswaldo de Amaral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Douglas Mello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hugos Arts Club's goalkeeper Adrianinho Vander, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The Hugos Arts Club supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Hugos Arts Club would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
