Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Didi Tepedino kicked off to start the match. In the 2nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Nacional Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Igor Araújo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ulisses Tepedino charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ulisses Tepedino the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ulisses Tepedino kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. In the 6th minute of the match Internacional got a corner. Nacional Futebol Clube's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Nilton Cearense ran over to the corner to take the kick. Cipriano Tavares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Igor Araújo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 14th minute, Antônio Carlos Meira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cipriano Tavares blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Igor Araújo having to make a save. Igor Araújo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cipriano Tavares in the 19th minute of the match. Andrézinho Gomes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 21 minutes into the game, Kléberson Araújo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Nacional Futebol Clube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Internacional the free kick. After 21 played minutes Nacional Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Kléberson Araújo. Nelsinho Ramalho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ulisses Tepedino in the 24th minute of play. A collision led to Internacional getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Rafa de Souza hit a great ball. With a little luck, Nacional Futebol Clube's Igor Araújo got control of the ball when Cipriano Tavares tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 27th minute, Cipriano Tavares got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Igor Araújo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cipriano Tavares's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cipriano Tavares was the one to do the kick off. Igor Araújo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cipriano Tavares, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cipriano Tavares in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Igor Araújo saved Nacional Futebol Clube from getting behind. If Eliézer Gonçalves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Cipriano Tavares managed to get in a good position for a shot. Internacional's supporters rose to their feet, but Cipriano Tavares was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Igor Araújo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Andrézinho Gomes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cipriano Tavares in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Igor Araújo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cipriano Tavares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 68th minute, Cipriano Tavares made a precise shot to the right of Igor Araújo. Nacional Futebol Clube's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. Cipriano Tavares kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. When Eliézer Gonçalves came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Internacional fans jumped to their feet. Internacional's supporters crossed their fingers, but Andrézinho Gomes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 82nd match minute, Nacional Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kléberson Araújo to maneuver through the defense. Cipriano Tavares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Igor Araújo having to interfere. Cipriano Tavares's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Igor Araújo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. Igor Araújo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cipriano Tavares's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cipriano Tavares in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Igor Araújo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Nacional Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Ulisses Tepedino hit a great ball. There was no doubt that Internacional were the better team. Internacional's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
